Soda, Obesity, and the studies behind the suggested ban

Daniel Engber, one of Slate's Explainers, has pulled together a roundup of studies about the risks of sugary soft drinks and concluded that the science behind Mayor Bloomberg's proposed ban of sales of soft drinks in large sizes is, well, soft. I'm not sure I agree, but his story is worth reading. For the other side of the story, see this blog post from NY Magazine.
